After your stay in Kathmandu, you will take a domestic flight to Pokhara, often called the “city of lakes.” Once you arrive in Pokhara, you will proceed directly to Bhumdi, situated at an elevation of 1520 meters above sea level. Bhumdi is renowned for its stunning views of the majestic mountains in the area, offering an excellent opportunity to immerse yourself in the breathtaking natural beauty of Nepal.
After enjoying a relaxed breakfast, we will begin our trek towards Panchase Hill, which stands at 2100 meters. The hike to Panchase Hill entails a relatively simple ascent along forested trails and picturesque villages. For approximately six hours, we will traverse undulating hills and experience the charm of the surrounding landscapes. Upon reaching Panchase Hill, you will be rewarded with a breathtaking panoramic view that will awaken you. The vantage point offers an incredible vista of the surrounding mountains and natural beauty, making it a truly unforgettable experience.
There are two options for the next leg of the trek. The first option is to hike up to Panchase Bhanjyang, where a shrine awaits at the top, along with a magnificent panorama of the Annapurna range. This hike is slightly more challenging but offers a rewarding experience. Alternatively, one can choose a relatively easier day of walking by heading directly to Bhadaure and bypassing the hike to the top of Panchase Hill. Bhadaure is a picturesque village that still provides captivating views of the mountains. It is located at a moderate altitude of 1530 meters above sea level, making it an effortlessly accessible destination. Both options have unique charms, allowing trekkers to choose based on their preferences and physical fitness levels.
From Bhadaure, the next destination on the trek is the Australian Camp. This picturesque location is approximately a 5-hour hike away. Situated at an elevation of 1900 meters above sea level, Australian Camp offers one of the finest spots to witness breathtaking sunsets in the area. The hike leading to Australian Camp presents a scenic journey through the region’s natural beauty. As you ascend, you will be surrounded by lush forests, charming villages, and stunning mountain vistas. Upon reaching Australian Camp, you will be rewarded with an enchanting panoramic view of the surrounding landscapes as the sun sets, creating a magical and memorable experience.
On the last day of the trek, you will make your way to Phedi, which entails a gentle descent down the ridge. The hike from Australian Camp to Phedi generally takes around two and a half hours, offering a pleasant walk through scenic surroundings. Once you reach Phedi, a short 30-minute drive will bring you back to the bustling town of Pokhara. Upon arrival in Pokhara, the remainder of the day is yours to enjoy at your leisure. You can explore the town, relax by the lakeside, shop, or indulge in the local cuisine. This free and easy day allows you to unwind and reflect on your incredible experiences throughout your trek in the beautiful Nepalese wilderness.
You can embark on an exhilarating adventure in the morning by paragliding with Nat Geo’s Adventures of the Year 2012 company. This thrilling activity will allow you to soar through the sky, taking in breathtaking aerial views of the picturesque Pokhara Valley and its surrounding mountains. It is a fantastic opportunity to experience the ultimate adrenaline rush and create lifelong memories. After an adventurous morning, you can spend a relaxing afternoon unwinding at one of the many charming cafes on Pokhara’s serene lakeside. This tranquil setting provides the perfect backdrop for you to sit back, enjoy a cup of coffee or tea, and soak in the beauty of the lake and its surroundings. It’s an ideal way to wind down and reflect on your journey while immersing yourself in the laid-back ambience of this vibrant town. Whether you choose to paraglide in the morning or enjoy a leisurely afternoon by the lakeside, both options offer unique experiences that will add to the overall enjoyment of your time in Pokhara.
In the afternoon, you will return to the vibrant city of Kathmandu from Pokhara. Once you arrive in Kathmandu, you will have some free time to engage in souvenir shopping or relax at your hotel. Kathmandu offers a wide range of shopping opportunities, where you can find unique handicrafts, traditional artworks, clothing, and other souvenirs that reflect Nepal’s rich culture and traditions. You can explore renowned marketplaces such as Thamel, Asan, or Patan Durbar Square to browse various shops and stalls, ensuring you find that perfect souvenir to return home. Alternatively, if you prefer a more relaxed afternoon, you can unwind at your hotel, taking advantage of the facilities and enjoying downtime after your trekking adventure. This will allow you to rest, recharge, and reflect upon your journey. Whether you enjoy souvenir shopping or unwind at your hotel, this free time allows you to make the most of your last day in Kathmandu before concluding your memorable trekking experience in Nepal.
