A once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage to Mount Kailash and Lake Manasarovar across the Tibetan plateau — days on scenic high-altitude roads, the sacred 3-day Kora (parikrama) around Kailash over the Dolma La pass (5,680m), and rich Tibetan Buddhist and Hindu culture. Drive to Kyirong/Kerung (2,700m), Tibet
160km, ~8hrs across the friendship bridge; meet the Tibetan guide and drivers.
Acclimatisation day in Kerung
Leisurely hikes — climb high, sleep low, with food supplements.
Drive to New Dongba (4,600m)
220km, ~6hrs across the Tibetan plateau past nomadic yak-herder camps.
Drive to Manasarovar (4,590m)
280km, ~7–8hrs; first glimpse of Kailash and holy Lake Manasarovar.
Short drive to Darchen (4,575m)
Explore Manasarovar and Chiu Gompa, then 1hr to Kailash base camp.
Trek to Dirapuk (4,860m)
4–5hr hike clockwise with an awe-inspiring view of Kailash's north face.
Cross Dolma La (5,680m) to Zutulpuk (4,790m)
The holiest, hardest day — 22km / 8–9hrs past Gaurikunda and Milarepa's cave.
Trek out & drive to Saga
15km / 4–5hr gentle descent to the Barkha plains, then drive to Paryang.
Drive back to Kerung/Kyirong
Past Pegu Tsho Lake with views of Shishapangma (8,000m+).
Drive back to Kathmandu (1,330m)
Re-enter Nepal at Rasuwagadhi via Syabrubensi and Langtang National Park.
International departure
Transfer to the airport 3 hours before your flight.
