Day 3: Yoga from 7 a.m till 8:30, followed by breakfast. We will visit Pharping and Dakshinkali. These places are very holy places for Buddhists and Hindus alike. The trail takes you along local villages and Pharping monastery. Pick up by vehicle at Pharping and drive to Dakshinkali Temple, a drive of about 15 minutes. The walks offer great views of the valley and mountains beyond. A bird lover’s paradise, you are never too far from an eagle stalk. The hill’s top is a sacred site, where locals gather to offer prayers and sacrifices. The trail is very gentle; butterflies and birds keep you company as you pass pine forests and colourful landscapes. Explore other cultural and religious sites around Pharping. Visit Monasteries and Nunneries and indulge in Buddhist culture and tradition. Lunch in Tibetan restaurant at Pharping or drive back to Resort for Lunch. Afternoon free or participants can opt for optional activities like Massage services, healing meditation, or singing bowl healing session/s.
Day 4: Yoga from 7 a.m till 8:30, followed by breakfast. Hike up to Champa Devi, situated at an altitude of 2,285m Southwest of Kathmandu, is a pilgrimage site with a Buddhist stupa and a Hindu shrine. Many pilgrims visit this place on the full moon. After the lunch break, we start our hiking gradually for about half an hour towards the north ridge and through the pine-forested area. From here, we continue hiking gradually up following the trail for about another 1.5 hours to Champa Devi. The views of the central and western Himalayan Range are magnificent on clear days. The group can order a picnic lunch for this walk. Chill out at the hilltop before returning to the resort.
Day 5: Yoga from 7 a.m till 8:30, followed by breakfast. After breakfast, check out from this retreat and walk to Khokana (1.360m), a traditional and tiny Newari village eight kilometres south of Kathmandu, which has its own history and has retained its tradition and culture. It is a living museum and recalls medieval times. Khokana has been nominated as a UNESCO World Heritage, representing a vernacular village and its mustard-oil seed industrial heritage. Bungamati is the birthplace of Rato Machhindranath, regarded as the patron of the valley. Drive back to Hattiban resort.
